Blue Friday

This whole fancy outfit cost $4 total. Here’s how: awesome Talbots Petite cashmere (!) blazer- thrifted for a buck. J. Crew shirt (extra long sleeves used as dramatic cuffs!)- free from a clothing swap. Madewell sample jeans- a lovely gift from NYC friends in the biz. Etienne Aigner flats: thrifted from my favorite shop. TGIF.

The leaves are falling in Denver and we’ve even had our first snow! I’ve taken a bit of a fall break this past week but am back in action with (what else) my new favorite boots. GiBlack is making these great¬†boots in Menorca and importing them by way of NYC to us! They come in grey as well and are super comfortable and so southwestern looking! I have a hard time finding good riding boots that fit many occasions, and that fit over pants. As you well know, I like to have a staple standard shoe or boot and wear it with everything. These fit the bill! Worn with Mossimo jeans from Target, a thrifted cashmere sweater from Ann Taylor, Madewell tank, 50 Dresses green silk scarf.

Comfort Prep

My favorite thrifted J. Crew wool blazer (made in Japan), thrifted Ralph Lauren shirt, Madewell navy waxy jeans, GiBlack abarcas. I like folding the cuffs of shirts over a cuffed blazer sleeve to make use of shirt sleeves that are usually too long.

Silk pink polka dots

Found this vintage 100% silk pink polka dot shirt at the thrift store the other day! It is in perfect condition and has the most oddly short sleeves and is kind of baggy. But I love it of course- I sort of only want to wear silk button-up shirts these days. JORDAN is the label and it seems 80’s/90’s era. Also thrifted and vintage is the Louis Feraud skirt and J.Crew blazer. Giblack black abarcas. Blenders glasses.

New Tunic

Found this J. Crew tunic at the thrift shop a while back- it is an odd garment that skates the line between shirt and dress. It is great gauzy cotton voile and was brand new- what a find! The Gap red pants are also thrifted then custom tapered at the bottom. Taupe GiBlack abarcas and Blenders sunglasses finish my very comfortable work look.

I am nursing a head cold, dreaming of a eucalyptus steam room, and having to settle for wearing my new J Brand eucalyptus colored pants. They are perfectly slim and cropped. Sperry Top Sider Boat Shoes, H&M jacket, Rodarte for Target striped tee, Banana Republic cardigan, and this amazing vintage thrifted Italian scarf with a great print in the middle and birds surrounding.

Staying cool in cotton

I found these great J.Crew City Fit pants at the by-the-pound Goodwill a few weeks ago. Pants cuffed, I feel somewhat professional and very comfortable. Soan abarcas, and a pretty floral shirt from Meadow Rue at Anthropologie via my sister (it has pockets)!! H&M jacket I’m never very excited about but continue to find very practical.

Summer Camp

Ready for rock climbing (or what I’m actually doing: belaying 8 year olds) in El Dorado Canyon in 5.10 climbing shoes, Good Society cut-offs, Madewell tank, and lots of sunscreen.
