Vintage Sequins

Vintage Ann Green silk and sequin top debuts at the Museum of Nature and Science’s star-gazing night. I loved this top and immediately categorized it as a “mermaid” top, but decided it looks “galaxy” too. Worn with wardrobe staples: Banana Republic coated black denim jeans, and my favorite black flats from Argentina years ago.

32 Hours in Vegas

Fun quick trip to Vegas for a great wedding at the Neon Museum.

Traveled in Banana Republic coated black jeans, Gil Torres booties, S.W.O.R.D. leather jacket, fancy Magaschoni cashmere hoodie sweater, vintage silk scarf, Brixton hat, Kate Spade purse, and a fantastic new leather trunk carry on with vintage detailing.

Wore a Leifsdottir black dress and Aldo nude heels to the nuptials.

Loved debuting my new 50 Dresses lace and fringe tunics! Available in black and white, this versatile piece can layer over a solid first layer for a more modest streetwear look, or stands on it’s own as a bikini cover-up!  Blender’s Monte Carlo sunglasses are my new favorite eye protection. Lululemon top and Midori Bikinis Wild Hearts bottom complete my beach wear look. Also loving my new GiBlack sea green abarcas! They continue to be my favorite summer shoe.

Found these awesome Taos shoes on a super sale the other day when I was walking by a random “healthy foot” store. They are incredibly comfortable and perfect for teaching. Random European stockings, vintage Louis Feraud skirt, Ralph Lauren shirt, Banana Republic sweater, Tres Noir Ultra Lux sunglasses. Favorite parts of this outfit: how the stripes show through the sleeves of the sweater, and how the shirt has a white collar.

Back in hats

Favorite Brixton hat from last year, Woolrich flannel layered over a long black sweater (with a hood!), Banana Republic waxed jeans, vintage Aerosoles booties. Layers are the key to staying warm in my cold studio during the long winter.

Pre-holiday Sparkle

I don’t need an excuse to wear sparkly clothes, but it’s sort of extra-fun around the holidays. Love these Ann Taylor leather heels- faux snakeskin with a good party shine. Green mermaid-sparkle pants from NastyGal, Banana Republic silk shirt, J. Crew grey sweater, and a scarf I’m perma-borrowing from my mom. It’s vintage and I’m not sure where she got it but it’s always been a favorite because of the sparkle plaid, fringe, and a muted purple floral pattern.

Teaching staples

Aconcagua boots from GiBlack, Banana Republic skirt, thrifted Ralph Lauren linen shirt, my sister’s Gap jacket. It’s good to have a nice staple black skirt that is appropriate for work but still cute- I found this in the petites section on sale and never get tired of wearing it.
