I don’t need an excuse to wear sparkly clothes, but it’s sort of extra-fun around the holidays. Love these Ann Taylor leather heels- faux snakeskin with a good party shine. Green mermaid-sparkle pants from NastyGal, Banana Republic silk shirt, J. Crew grey sweater, and a scarf I’m perma-borrowing from my mom. It’s vintage and I’m not sure where she got it but it’s always been a favorite because of the sparkle plaid, fringe, and a muted purple floral pattern.
This whole fancy outfit cost $4 total. Here’s how: awesome Talbots Petite cashmere (!) blazer- thrifted for a buck. J. Crew shirt (extra long sleeves used as dramatic cuffs!)- free from a clothing swap. Madewell sample jeans- a lovely gift from NYC friends in the biz. Etienne Aigner flats: thrifted from my favorite shop. TGIF.
Found this J. Crew tunic at the thrift shop a while back- it is an odd garment that skates the line between shirt and dress. It is great gauzy cotton voile and was brand new- what a find! The Gap red pants are also thrifted then custom tapered at the bottom. Taupe GiBlack abarcas and Blenders sunglasses finish my very comfortable work look.
I found these great J.Crew City Fit pants at the by-the-pound Goodwill a few weeks ago. Pants cuffed, I feel somewhat professional and very comfortable. Soan abarcas, and a pretty floral shirt from Meadow Rue at Anthropologie via my sister (it has pockets)!! H&M jacket I’m never very excited about but continue to find very practical.
