Showed 50 Dresses Fall 2013 at a great benefit event this weekend called Urban Nights for Urban Peak. I wore a 50 Dresses leopard and lace long dress, Bethany Cosentino for Urban Outfitters white jacket, Rodarte for Target leopard bow belt, black flats from Argentina. My cute sister wore Miu Miu heels, a 50 Dresses dress, and Gap jacket.
Found these high waisted railroad stripe pants by St. John’s Bay at the Goodwill Outlet World. They aren’t flattering, but they are comfortable. Kind of hybrid mom-jeans/pedal-pushers. But I love the stripes. Taupe abarcas, J. Crew leopard tank, and linen hat from Duluth Trading Co. means I’m ready for hauling clothes around and fitting models for a big show tonight!
50 Dresses leopard dress with lace inset on the front. I have been working with versions of this dress for a while, and finally fished it out of the “finish later” pile. I love the stretch black lace at the front and how it balances the scoop back. It’s elastic at the waist and very comfortable. Sometimes I want to feel fancy and dressed up, but also as comfortable as if I was lounging in a muumuu. Actually sometimes that is the only way I will go out at night, so this dress is the solution.
I’m LOVING these new Jenni Kayne navy patent gladiator sandals (from last season, but found on eBay), but still coveting a pair of her d’orsay flats. S.W.O.R.D. leather jacket, Italian leather purse from my sister. Gold key-hole earrings from Nasty Gal. 50 Dresses leather hair tie wrap.
Brixton woven safari style hat (sample), J. Crew leopard sweater (last year’s outlet find), M.Kaltenbach killer statement necklace, vintage rings, my fave Ann Taylor skater/dom boots, Simply Vera (Kohl’s) fading stretch jeans, H&M spring jacket, thrifted Made in France vintage navy/white striped clutch (the zipper brand is ECLAIR)!
April snow, or Second Winter, calls for a vintage Brooks Brothers navy duffle, Brixton hat, vintage L.L. Bean plaid shirt, J. Crew leopard sweater, Madewell jeans, vintage/custom Santa Fe Boot Co. boots, and hand-knit hand warmers.
Thrifted navy blazer that fits like a dream (Made in Korea- no label). Madewell jeans, Etienne Aigner vintage boots, Banana Republic sweater, Uniqlo button-down, hand knit cowl from my sister, and awesome Norma Kamali vintage calf-hair leopard belt. I love belted outerwear!
Ann Taylor stiletto platform boots (from last year), Betsey Johnson leopard tights, Josephine Chaus vintage silk skirt (thrifted), 80’s-tastic denim shirt (thrifted), great black label-less coat (thrifted), Stella & Dot tech wallet.
J. Crew animal print sweater, 50 Dresses dress, vintage lucite crystal necklace, vintage earrings, Tres Noir Ultra Lux sunglasses. Great American company from Southern California- they make really high quality shades in great styles. Check them out! I want them all. I wanted this sweater to have a shorter look so am wearing a slim belt under at the waist to blouse it over. It’s a nice alternative to the “belted sweater” look where the belt is the focus. The watch I always wear is by Roxy. I have had it for over 15 years and it is really reliable. Now I want a gold one too!
Best fancy old lady inspired outfit ever. Thrifted navy wool vintage Mondí pants (made in Romania!) are so quality and the best short fit. Thrifted Anne Klein blazer is also a petite must. J. Crew leopard tank, Thrifted white shirt made in Korea, thrifted Etienne Aigner loafers, vintage pink lucite necklace. Also my favorite ring look as of late: My grandmother’s signet ring and emerald ring, mom’s ruby ring, knuckle rings from Etsy, and Rossmore chain ring made in LA by my friend Suzy.
Blue Gap sweater (thrifted for $1.00!), my favorite James Perse navy tank (the quality does make a difference in this case), and leopard pants from Target. Vintage jewelry and boots. My favorite lipstick these days is Covergirl Lip Perfection. I have 3 shades (Hot 305, Spellbound 325, and Tempt 355) and it is the best formula for moisture, long wear, and bright pigment. Also sporting my new and first Shellac manicure! I chose Wildfire- a clean, strong red. Let’s see if it really goes 2 weeks without chipping!
