Yes, I should be in Hawaii in this dress

Awesome floral Tracy Feith dress from his line for Target years ago. After making Michelle Obama’s favorite dress, his company shut down in 2011 and apparently he now works for Tom’s Shoes. He can work a bold pattern really well. It works well how the floral pattern fades to a solid orange on the sides of this dress. I’m carrying everything I need in my amazing Railcar Fine Goods tote I take everywhere! Vintage sand dollar scarf makes an appearance for the first time since March! I like big hair accessories to go with a puffy top knot. I love how a big bow on a head scarf sometimes looks like a flower, and dresses up messy and slightly dirty hair. Summer!

Vintage thrifted blue denim shirt, Simply Vera pants from Kohl’s, Gi Black Abarcas, vintage rings, and THIS BELT. Seriously, this was a find. Eagles! Turquoise! Woven silver! Handmade, with “Betty” on the back. Found it at a thrift store for 1/2 off $4. Love it! Found the brass eagle belt buckle at my local Yankee Trader.

Strappy strap straps

How many cut outs is too many cutouts? This dress walks the line. But I love it!! From Nasty Gal on sale last year. This was the first and last time I wore it like this- mixed feelings about the mullet hi-low hem led to cutting it short with the intention of wearing it tunic style with leggings? Not sure yet- stay tuned. Amazing Gentle Souls gladiator sandals available here, but I clearly did not pay that much for them! Got them for a steal at a sale here in Denver last year but they must have been good sellers since I see them for sale again this year. They are very comfy. Mayle bag- I covet this- it is my sister’s. Brixton sample hat, vintage jewelry. YAY SUMMER!

Pink flowers

Geren Ford leather sandals from a great sample sale a few years back. It is a shame Geren Ford stopped making shoes because theirs were AWESOME. 50 Dresses navy/black sweetheart neck dress, Candie’s from Kohl’s green jacket from the juniors department, and these amazing pink plastic hair accessories (rose clip, pink floral headband) from GiddyUp Katie, a local Denver DIY artisan. The vintage plastic flowers she uses to make her hair accessories remind me so much of visiting my grandma’s house when I was a kid!
