Gentle Souls Break My Heart sandal (so comfortable), purple Ann Taylor pants (from last year’s sale- very stretchy), J. Crew animal print tank, Banana Republic sweater (retail from years ago but I still love it.
Also wear slippers at work whenever possible. It helps to find indoor blue sky when the outside is crappy, and awesome color-blocked walls, but start with slippers.
It’s hard to find a perfect v-neck sweater. Cut your own! This was a navy cashmere turtleneck I bought at a vintage fair- it has been washed and dried a few times, so the wool takes on a bit of a felted edge that doesn’t fray. Turtlenecks are generally too constricting, so I suggest a little alteration and you’ll be flashing your comfy shoulder in no time. Madewell waxy blue-gray jeans (a great gift and a mystery sample- not sure if they were produced), Old Navy lace long layering tank, Band of Outsiders/Target/Neiman Marcus hat, L.L. Bean Wicked Good Moccasins, Smart Wool socks. I am warm and comfortable for a workshop work day.
These boots!! They belong to my sister and I am currently scouring the earth for another pair. Made by Zodiac in the 80s, they came in black and brown, and I’d take either. Brixton hat, Railcar Jeans, vintage Made in Italy silver chain (my grandma Vera’s), Gap sweater, and an AMAZING cashmere blazer made by Talbot’s Petites. I thrifted it for $1, and it is vintage- made in the USA- which is always nice. I love the thin lapel, one button, longer length, gorgeous dusty blue color and baby soft cashmere feel. This was a find.
These Doc Martin’s are legit from the 1990s. They are my sister’s and have been lucky enough to share them with her over the past couple of decades! I’ve seen new versions for sale lately and was happy to already have a pair around! Madewell Skinny Skinny waxed jeans, Gap sweater (thrifted), pink cashmere L.L. Bean shell (thrifted), 50 Dresses custom scarf.
Calypso St. Barth cashmere cardigan in a pretty light blue color I found at the by-the-pound thrift shop! So it cost less than a dollar. Total score. Victoria’s Secret tank, Railcar jeans, vintage silk scarf, and J. Crew suede red flats. Love these shoes so much- they are really comfortable. I found mine last year at the J. Crew outlet, and this year I want another color! Wish list.
Post-yoga, wet hair, wool Emu boots, in a big sweater hang-out-outfit, and I don’t care because SPRING IS COMING! I can’t wait for flowers. So far, we’ve already seen snowdrops! The flowers on my legs are thanks to Miss Anna Lee Fiorino, amazing hairstylist and cute style star wife of fab photographer Jesse Fiorino. Check out their work and their ENVIABLE LIFE. Thanks so much for the cute leggings Anna! I love them, and promise to not wear them as pants. With this little American Apparel skirt it’s okay, right? In other news, #springforward is killing me this week. I am so tired in the mornings!
Blue Gap sweater (thrifted for $1.00!), my favorite James Perse navy tank (the quality does make a difference in this case), and leopard pants from Target. Vintage jewelry and boots. My favorite lipstick these days is Covergirl Lip Perfection. I have 3 shades (Hot 305, Spellbound 325, and Tempt 355) and it is the best formula for moisture, long wear, and bright pigment. Also sporting my new and first Shellac manicure! I chose Wildfire- a clean, strong red. Let’s see if it really goes 2 weeks without chipping!
•When you miss lace shirts in winter (American Apparel), wear them over cashmere sweaters (Ann Taylor thrifted).
•Hold onto anything leopard for years (this hand rolled silk scarf is from Banana Republic AGES ago and I wear it every season, all the time).
•Very dirty hair + Suave Dry Shampoo = sexy awesome volume hair.
•When Pablo is sitting with his his little foot tucked underneath him in the perfect photo spot, get it! These things can’t be staged.
