And just like that we’re heading towards fall…

Summer 2014 was a blast. Lots of weddings and travel and fun. Here are some of my favorite #tessdressed moments.IMG_0371

50 Dresses lace and fringe tunic over a Victoria’s Secret tube dress. J. Crew heels, and a Bijou Van Ness headpiece. Vintage gold clutch finishes the outfit for Hannah’s wedding.

Cheering on the US Men’s National Team during the World Cup in a vintage romper, belt I made, Blenders glasses and lots of red, white and blue.

Rockwell by Parra 5-panel hat, Nasty Gal crop top, skirt from Thailand, and GiBlack abarca-espadrilles.

Rockwell by Parra hat, GiBlack abarcas, great thrifted tunic/coverup, Blenders glasses.

Got a rad new bike from RiNoVelo. This girl is FAST.

Wore the lace fringe tunic again for the Urban Nights for Urban Peak fashion show where my 50 Dresses by Tess Vigil bridesmaid looks stole the show!

Fun work trip to LA in Frankies Bikinis.

Made some fun shirts with my vintage inspired tattooed paper doll Bettie. #bettiesbandshirt was a hit. Going to print more in new colors for fall!

Two amazing vintage dresses from my dear friend Anne. Worn by her mother in Thailand in the 60’s!!

White lace fringe tunic takes 50 Dresses to Mexico! Blenders shades- as if I have any others!

Seamly.co’s convertible pantsuit. Thumbs up.

50 Dresses lace fringe tunic over shorts and a tank was a uniform this hot hot summer.

Ended the summer with a happy birthday in a classic 50 Dresses number I made and sweet Mexican vintage boots!

Summer is Here

Great vintage wool hat, 50 Dresses tank, James Jeans Twiggy, Taupe GiBlack Abarcas.

Wore a vintage silk dress (I shortened and removed the sleeves from) and J. Crew flats to the wedding of a dear friend. My tie-making abilities are coming along too as evidenced by Willie’s new custom tie!

Loved wearing this stunning vintage dress to a beautiful Colorado wedding. Even wore a vintage silk slip underneath. The design, detail, and fit on this piece are just superb! I rarely see this color, and loved wearing it.

Happy June!

Vintage Sequins

Vintage Ann Green silk and sequin top debuts at the Museum of Nature and Science’s star-gazing night. I loved this top and immediately categorized it as a “mermaid” top, but decided it looks “galaxy” too. Worn with wardrobe staples: Banana Republic coated black denim jeans, and my favorite black flats from Argentina years ago.

School style

I’m really loving this new thrifted vintage camel coat (no label)! I’m wearing it sort of “school style” today with vintage thrifted Aerosoles boots, cropped Banana Republic pants, thrifted Ann Taylor cashmere sweater and a white button-up. It’s hard to find coats with great tailoring to fit a tiny 5’3”-ish frame, and this one fits the bill. Mom, don’t you love this? I think my mom will be impressed.

I love getting dressed up for New Year’s Eve. Found these great vintage gold shoes at a thrift store the other day. Wolford tights, Geren Ford peplum silk top, vintage belt, and a little purple skirt I made from vintage dress my grandma passed down to me. Happy New Year!
